Employers must provide workers with sufficient free safe drinking water. The water must be fresh, and must not have any colour, odour or taste.
Drinking adequate water reduces fatigue and helps productivity.
Example: Drinking water containers should be covered, and located in a cool place, away from dust, chemicals, direct sunlight, rubbish and toilets.

Employers must provide a canteen for workers that is separate from the production area.Kitchens, canteens and cooking utensils must always be kept clean and tidy.Kitchens and canteens must be sufficiently well lit and ventilated.All catering companies which provide food in factories must have a recommendation from the local Manpower Office, stating that it has fulfilled the health, hygiene and sanitation requirements.
