During this crisis, we are committed to understanding the impact of COVID-19 supply chain disruptions on businesses and workers in the garment industry. We are supporting country programmes in their efforts to survey enterprises and workers, also together with other ILO departments and units, industry stakeholders and academic partners, with the aim of building a robust evidence base on the impact of COVID-19 in the short- and long-term.
From a research perspective, we want to ensure that the evidence base we are building at this challenging time will inform the policy discussions at the national and global supply chain-levels on how to rebuild a more sustainable global garment industry in the aftermath of the pandemic.
