Emergency preparedness is the preparation for the emergency situation which might be happen in the workplace.
7.8.1. Fire Preparedness
Workplaces must have fire detectors and alarm systems, as well as adequate firefighting equipment, including fire extinguishers, fire hoses, and sprinkler systems located near potential sources of fire.
Fire extinguishers should be placed 15 meters apart and should be checked every 6 months.
Employers must ensure that both male and female workers are trained how to use firefighting equipment and how to combat fires.

Workplaces must have at least two emergency exits, which are accessible, unobstructed and unlocked during working hours as well as during overtime. Workers should be informed of a safe gathering area outside the factory in an emergency situation, so it can easily be confirmed that all workers have been safety evacuated.

7.8.3. Reporting of Incidents
All work related accidents, illnesses, fires, explosions and other dangerous occurrences, including those that occur in the workplace and during travel to and from work, must be reported to the local officials appointed by the Ministry of Manpower and Transmigration within 48 hours of their occurrence.
