Port-au-Prince, Haiti
Talégene was among the first two employees of Better Work Haiti, having joined the ILO team in September 2009 as a driver. Today he works as a logistician, coordinating a fleet of vehicles and drivers and also taking care of procurement needs for the office. Talégene has been key to maintaining swift operations at Better Work thanks to his knowledge of the programme’s needs.
Born in Ganthier, west department of Haiti, married and father of 6 children, Talégene has a graduate degree in theology and he is an active member of the Fraternal Baptiste Mission of Haiti where he serves a role as Sunday Biblical Studies Superintendent. Throughout his time at Better Work, he has always shown tremendous dedication to his duties and his fellow colleagues.
I am proud to be a member of this incredibly dynamic team working to improve the lives and working conditions for workers in the garment industry and to improve the global competitiveness of this industry, here in Haiti.
