In 2012, the stakeholders in Jordan entered into discussions regarding the establishment a collective bargaining agreement for the garment sector, to secure good working conditions and promote workplace cooperation. With support from Better Work Jordan and ILO experts, the collective bargaining agreement was signed by employers and unions in 2013, and covers more than 55,000 workers in the export apparel sector.
