Kesava Murali Kanapathy oversees the implementation of the Better Work Sri Lanka programme, which focuses on scale and sustainability through national constituents. With over 20 years of experience across the global apparel and footwear supply chains, Murali has worked extensively in Asia, Africa, and the MENA regions. He joined the Better Work programme in 2014 in Bangladesh and later assumed a global rolein the Better Work Global team in 2017, before moving back to Sri Lanka in 2021 to launch the Better Work Sri Lanka Programme.
In his capacity as the technical lead for Advisory Services, Occupational Safety and Health, purchasing practices, and capacity building, Murali provided expertise and guidance to Better Work staff, buyer partners, and constituents.,Murali holds a master’s degree in Human Resources Management and Development from the University of Salford. He is also an alumnus of the High Impact Leadership Forum at the University of Cambridge.
