Diane Davoine joined Better Work in 2017 as a Programme Officer at the IFC. Her work focuses on program management, piloting services that promote women’s empowerment and productivity, and supporting IFC investments to advance social and environmental outcomes in factories. Diane started her career in the financial sector, with experiences in private banking, asset management and microfinance. She was then part of the World Economic Forum’s Strategic Foresight Unit, where she developed and managed projects aimed at helping decision-makers address complex challenges, such as youth unemployment. More recently, Diane worked with the World Bank’s Subnational Doing Business Unit, where she helped governments improve the business environment for small- and medium-sized enterprises, through regulatory analysis and policy advice. Diane holds a MA in International Economics from The Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, and a BA in International Affairs from the University of Geneva.
