This pilot report presents findings and observations from Better Work Jordan’s interactions in three non-garment sectors (Plastic, Chemical and Engineering sectors in Jordan) based on data from assessment visits conducted in 2021 and Q1 2022. This report provides an update on the state of working conditions in non-garment factories that the programme is working with. The report draws from assessment findings from unannounced compliance visits to factories conducted jointly with the Ministry of Labour/ European Jordanian Joint Committee related to simplification of Rules of Origin for Jordanian factories exporting to the European Union.
