Nguyen Hong Ha joined Better Work in 2013, after 20 years with the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), which represents the business community, business associations, and employers in Vietnam. Ha has worked extensively on trade and business development issues, leading national advocacy to improve the business environment and corporate responsibility, particularly in the labour field. She has worked closely with international and local stakeholders to promote CSR practices among employers in Vietnam.
As Deputy General Director of VCCI in Ho Chi Minh City, Ha served on the Better Work Vietnam Advisory committee and managed two earlier industry support projects run by VCCI and ILO (the Factory Improvement Program (FIP) and Sustaining Competitive and Responsible Enterprises Project (SCORE). She was also an official member of the Labour Arbitration Council of Ho Chi Minh City. Ha has a master’s degree in International Business from the University of New South Wales and a B.A. from the Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics.
