Ira is a certified social compliance auditor by Compliance Practitioners Initiative (CPI). She has over 15 years’ experience in the garment industry. She started her career in 2001 by working in a British owned garment factory in Bandung. She took various position in the HR&GA Department during her tenure in this factory; started from Human Resources & General Affair (HR & GA) Secretary, Human Resources officer and Welfare manager. She was responsible to ensure HR & GA system is in place and implemented, including making sure that the factory in compliance with the National Labour Regulation.
In 2013, Ira joined Better Work Indonesia as Enterprise Advisor. Prior to that, she took the opportunity to work with British buying agent based in Jakarta. She was in charge of monitoring compliance performance, quality system audits and contributed to sourcing decisions in Indonesia, Cambodia, Vietnam, China and Myanmar for factories that held business with the buying agent. Currently, Ira is assigned as Team Leader for Central Java and Jogjakarta Area.ion.
