Better Work mengakui nilai perannya sebagai data penyedia dan pialang pengetahuan untuk industri garmen.

Better Work recognizes the value of its role as a data provider and knowledge broker for the garment industry. Actionable, reliable and timely data and research can be transformative for policymakers, regulators, businesses, and employer and worker organizations. Research findings can inform the programme’s work at the enterprise level, its engagement with the business community and the ILO’s capacity building activities to strengthen institutions in the world of work. Since the establishment of the programme, we have collaborated with a multidisciplinary network of independent academics to leverage Better Work’s unique position in the garment industry to address research questions on:

  • The impact of Better Work’s operations and influence, including across each of the programme’s thematic priorities.

  • Broader governance and dynamics of the world of work, including international trade, inclusive growth, supply chain dynamics and future industry trends as they intersect with the programme’s thematic priorities.

Our unique, factory-level data, as well as access to workplaces and stakeholders, offers an entry point for a variety of research approaches to address key questions on decent work in the context of a globalized world.
