Sikder Mohammad Tawhidul Hasan joined Better work, ILO on 1st September 2022 as Enterprise Advisor. He is a Government officer with extensive experience and profound insights into social Compliance and Labour Inspection domain. He has been working as Assistant Inspector General (Safety) in the Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishments (DIFE), Ministry of Labour and Employment since 2015.
He is a DANIDA scholar and obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Occupational Risk and Safety Management from Aalborg University, Denmark with a full-ride scholarship. Besides, He holds an MBA from the University of Dhaka and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Islamic University of Technology (IUT). Moreover, he is a Ph.D. candidate commencing in 2023 at Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Australia with the full-ride Research Excellence Award Scholarship (Australian Government Scholarship). He is a passionate researcher in Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) field. His research endeavor contributed to two conference papers and was presented at European Safety and Reliability Conference (ESREL) and Simultech Conference respectively in Germany and the Czech Republic. He has published another q1 journal in Elsevier and a book chapter in Taylor and Francis journal, UK. Prior to working in ILO and DIFE, he used to work at United Commercial Bank, AB Bank, and Grameenphone.
He is too much into sports. He is fond of playing football, cricket, and table tennis on the weekend. He loves to explore new things, gain insights, and unveil the unexplored.
