Controlling Risks of Working With Hazardous Substances

Hazardous substances that pose a risk to workers’ health and safety can be found in many workplaces. Workers handle those substances as part of their job on a daily basis. In order to keep them healthy it is important to understand the risks; to know which chemicals can be dangerous and to prevent exposure to chemicals.

On the 22nd March 2017, the VCCI HCM together with two representatives of the Dutch Occupational Hygiene Association will organize a full day training on controlling risks of working with hazardous substances.

Objectives:

♦ Understanding the different types of hazardous substances and the possible health risks

♦ Understanding the different pathways through which exposure to chemicals can occur

♦ Understending and identifying high risk at the workplace

♦ Learning how to reduce exposure to hazardous substances and to protect your employees

♦ Language: English (with interpretation)

♦ Background information and practical examples

♦ Discussions and interaction among participants

♦ Target audience: professionals active in the field of occupational health and safety, particularly in safe working with hazardous substances

♦ Location: VCCI training room: 10th Floor, 171 Vo Thi Sau, Dist.3, HCMC

♦ Date: 22/03/2017

♦ Time: 08.30 to 16.30

♦ Drinks and lunch will be available to participants
