Shelly has been with Better Work Indonesia (BWI) team since September 2014 as the training officer. Before entering BWI, she had been working in various development organizations for over 10 years, particularly in programme management and capacity building. She started her work in the humanitarian sector with the International Catholic Migration Committee (ICMC) in Nias, in the community development programme as team leader. This was followed by her works with HIVOS Aceh and VSO Indonesia. Shelly is also familiar with trade union engagement since her university period at University of Padjadjaran. As part of her working experiences, she has worked with two Global Union Federations (GUFs), the Education International (EI) Aceh Office for one year and Building and Woodworkers’ International (BWI) Asia Pacific Regional Office for three years. She believes that her experiences and background help her to contribute in furthering the works of Better Work Indonesia.
In her leisure time, she loves to read and watch movies. Lately, she has been doing her new hobby in hydroponic gardening.
