This is the fourteenth country synthesis report to be produced by Better Work Haiti under the reporting requirements of the US’ Haitian Hemispheric Opportunity through Partnership Encouragement (HOPE) II Legislation.
This report presents the results of assessments, advisory and training services provided to 25 factories in the period between August 2016 and April 2017. It offers a detailed review of non-compliance rates in a range of areas linked to working conditions and fundamental rights at work. It also provides insights into the key drivers of non-compliance based on Better Work’s assessment and advisory work.
Better Work produces compliance synthesis reports for each of its country programmes, presenting analysis of non-compliance at the aggregate level. These reports provide transparent information for all programme stakeholders regarding working conditions in the factories participating in the programme.
