Bona has been assigned as National Programme Officer of Better Work Indonesia since June 2017. His more than a decade of working experience with the ILO has contributed to various portfolio on among others, Indonesian labour laws, international labour migration along with its anti-trafficking and forced labour related issues, liaison roles with ILO’s tripartite constituents at national and regional level up to the highest level of seniority, and for providing technical assistance to ILO tripartite constituents in Indonesia on various International Labour Standards, ILO’s and relevant UN supervision mechanisms. He was responsible for two ILO’s labour migration and ILO’s regional project covering ten member States of ASEAN as National Project Coordinator (NPC). Prior to the ILO, he started his career with Solidarity Center Jakarta Office as Programme Officer.
Bona received LL.M degree from the Faculty of Law, University of Utrecht, the Netherlands and LL.B. from Atma Jaya Catholic University Jakarta. On top of these, he completed several short courses programme on legal aid services which include specific subjects such as social analysis, gender and injustice situation, and labor case studies. He enjoys to watch action movies and develops interest in reading historical books during his leisure time
