Claudine François, a Haitian native, joined Better Work Haiti in July 2014. Prior to BW Haiti, Claudine launched a successful impact investment fund with Yunus Social Business to establish sustainable businesses in Haiti. As country director/fund manager of Yunus Social Business Fund Haiti, she advised and facilitated corporations in Germany and the United States on technology and investment in the country. She has also contributed to international conferences and conventions to facilitate business introductions. Claudine’s career spans more than 25 years in the United States, West and Central Africa, and Haiti in various fields, sincluding – high integrity strategic leadership, business and international development, good governance and financial management.
“I have always felt existing business models in Haiti have been limited in their ability to generate massive employment, income or genuine innovation for those who need it most,” Claudine says.
